My work

In this section you will find my fields of expertise and some samples of my work. Feel free to check out the additional domains in which I have provided my services as well as my TED profile.

Literary Translation

Literary translation encompasses anything and everything that may be related to creative production. If you happen to be dealing with a project that is either a literary work (whether it be a book, a novel, or poetry), an audiovisual project (subtitling, dubbing, transcription), or a transcreation task (the creative process that results from the combination of translation and creativity, which encompasses the tailoring and recreation of the style, intentions, and effects of a given message from one language into the other), this is the right category from which it should be tackled.

Scientific and Technical Translation

Scientific and technical translation involves any and all specialized and technical science and technology-related texts. The latter are known for their high degree of complexity, objectivity, and accuracy, as well as field-specific jargon for each area of expertise. Among the numerous documents that concern it are instruction manuals, informed consents, clinical trials, research articles and papers, and scientific texts. Simultaneously, medicine, physics, life sciences, pharmacology, and computer science are but a few of the many fields it comprises.

Fine Arts

Literary translation intrinsically included within them, the Fine Arts are known as the seven creative disciplines that are defined by their expressive, aesthetic, symbolic, communicative, and cultural value: architecture, cinema, dance, literature, music, painting, and sculpture. This craft has long been one of my most prominent fields of expertise, interest, and cynosure, containing texts such as curatorial texts, information and description labels and brochures, art theory, and art history articles.

Sworn Translation

Not only does sworn translation involve translating legal documents from one language into the other, but also achieving the same effect and legal validity in the target country and context it is being produced for. Being on the verge of graduating from the Institute of Higher Education No. 4011 “Instituto Belgrano”, where the course is four years long due to their unique extra schooling on sworn translation, I have been met with the pleasure of developing a solid foundation for my knowledge and services in this field.

Tourism

Tourism translation is concerned with texts revolving around the travel and hotel industry. Its main goals are to connect different cultures, attract clients, and adjust the foreign references in each given production so that the image and idea that they are meant to convey is not lost on the target audience—a process also known as localization. It is through persuasion, advertising, and the proper transmission of in-depth knowledge about the location, event, or establishment being described that it is possible to translate, transcreate, and adapt bodies of text such as brochures, websites, and even audioguides.
